Hugh English Continues to Soar With Hey Jude Success
Written by GLRAdmin on January 2, 2017
Legendary broadcaster Tony Carr host of This Is Reggae Music on Sunday 01 January 2017 shared the Top 10 songs he enjoyed playing throughout 2016 on WPFW in Washington DC.
While Tony Carr lamented that it was a very difficult decision in choosing from hundreds of songs played in his catalog, this elite group of great songs brought a 2nd N0.1 for Trench Town International Music Roots singer Hugh English rendition of the Beatles classic “Hey Jude.”
The single which was executively produced the singer himself, and co produced by Earl Smith Jr., and English’s manager and CEO of Mightyful13 Records, Fitzroy Francis, is the artist’s second time topping an International Music Chart. Hey Jude saw its first success earlier in 2016 when it peaked at No. 1 on New York Foundation Radio Network (NYFRN) and was voted No. 13 in NYFRN Top 100 Songs for 2016. Hugh English was named the No. 6 Singer in the Top 10 Singer for 2016.
Co-Producer, Fitzroy Francis and his wife Phyllis Francis aka Empress Skortcher who is the CEO of Global Linkz radio were in studio as the announcement was made. The duo was elated at the surprise while fans tuned in on Facebook Live with Tony Carr gave their stamp of approval to Tony’s top picks.
